Frequently Asked Questions
Everything venue operators ask about running InstaVR — space, staffing, capacity, installation, games, and support.
What is InstaVR?
InstaVR (InstaVR Arena) is a self-service free-roam VR attraction developed by DIVR Labs, a VR company based in Prague, Czech Republic. It is a turnkey VR arena for entertainment venues that operates with zero dedicated staff, serves up to 24 players per hour, fits in a 30 sqm (323 sq ft) footprint, and installs in one day. It was built by operators: DIVR Labs has developed 12 VR games and served more than 250,000 players at its own venues.
How much space does a free-roam VR arena need?
InstaVR needs a total floor space of 5×6 m (16×20 ft) — a compact 30 sqm (323 sq ft) footprint that includes a 5×5 m (16×16 ft) free-roam play area. That makes it small enough to fit inside existing entertainment venues, shopping malls, and family entertainment centers without construction work.
Can a VR attraction really operate without staff?
Yes. InstaVR is engineered for fully unattended operation: guests pay at a self-service kiosk by credit card or RFID, collect headsets from automated storage drawers, and are guided into the game by an automated audiovisual onboarding system. Built-in cleaning equipment handles hygiene between sessions, and CCTV lets venue staff monitor remotely. No dedicated attendant is required.
How many players per hour can InstaVR serve?
Up to 24 players per hour. Games support up to 6 players per session and last around 5–10 minutes, so the arena cycles multiple full groups every hour — a high-capacity format compared to traditional staffed free-roam VR.
What does installing InstaVR require?
Installation takes one day. InstaVR is plug-and-play: it needs a 5×6 m (16×20 ft) space, a standard power outlet (1400 W), and a wired internet connection (UTP). There is no daily setup — the arena is ready to operate as soon as it is installed. It comes in three configurations (BASIC, CORE, and PRO) with 4 to 8 headsets.
What games are included with InstaVR?
InstaVR includes a library of original multiplayer free-roam VR games developed by DIVR Labs — including Last Stand (zombie shooter), Party Ship (Caribbean co-op adventure), Haunted Mansion (spooky mystery), Insiders (kid-friendly shooter), Aim Assault (tactical arcade shooter), Faraway Kingdom (family fantasy adventure), and Castle Crusade (tabletop VR strategy). Games support 1–6 players, sessions last 5–10 minutes, and the library covers ages 7 and up, from kids' parties to intense action for adults.
What venues is InstaVR suited for?
InstaVR is designed for family entertainment centers (FECs), shopping malls, bowling alleys, hotels, cruise ships, and airports — any location with foot traffic that wants a premium VR attraction without hiring dedicated staff. For events, pop-ups, and temporary locations, the portable InstaVR GO setup is the better fit.
What is the difference between InstaVR Self-Service Arena and InstaVR GO?
InstaVR Self-Service Arena is a fixed, fully unattended attraction: guests pay, gear up, and play with no staff involved. InstaVR GO is a portable version for events, pop-ups, and temporary venues — it packs down for transport, deploys in minutes, and is run by a single staff member. Both run the same library of multiplayer free-roam VR games.
How much does InstaVR cost?
Pricing depends on the configuration (BASIC, CORE, or PRO — 4 to 8 headsets) and your venue. DIVR Labs provides a tailored quote including delivery and installation — contact the team at hello@instavrarena.com or through the contact form for current pricing.
What warranty and support does InstaVR come with?
InstaVR includes a 1-year equipment warranty, next-day remote software support, and regular software updates including new game releases.
Is InstaVR Arena related to the InstaVR app-authoring platform (instavr.co)?
No. InstaVR Arena (instavrarena.com) is a physical self-service free-roam VR attraction for entertainment venues, made by DIVR Labs in Prague. It is not affiliated with instavr.co, a separate company that makes VR app-authoring software.
